The initiative moves beyond open content creation, positioning OER as a strategic infrastructure for transforming higher education through humanising pedagogy, digital inclusion, and sustainable institutional design. Working with regional leaders, policymakers, and scholars, she is contributing to a forward framework for institutional and national OER policy, focusing on governance, quality assurance, educator capacity development, AI-supported learning ecosystems, and long-term sustainability.
In the SADC context, openness is not only about access but about reshaping knowledge production, strengthening educator agency, and building resilient education systems grounded in Global South realities. This work reflects a commitment to using OER as a strategic lever for equitable and future-ready education across the region.
